"I didn't do it. I hope you know that. I wouldn't know how to act.
Please don't pursue it. It's not my fault that opposites attract."

Great lines!

We love the groove of this, Marty, and you and Dave have the Delta blues down.
And Dave’s new setup sounds excellent as do your bass chops and the mix.

Your vocal really shines on this too and Janice singled out your extra special phrasing on “straw” and “yard” that were a treat.

Cool vid to go along with a cool song!

Ha Marty and Dave,

Love the song, I told you that on YT, although I'm convinced you did it.
The problem is, I don't know what you did. Probably you are the king in making beautiful songs with the speed of light.
This one is no exception. Lovely rhythm.

And Dave played so well too (of course)!
Well done. Nothing to complain about, of course (too)...

You've done a great job.
Your unfolding story kept me interested all the way through (and made me smile a few times, too)!
The arrangement, your performance, Dave's performance, and your production sat extremely comfortably in my headphones.

Very enjoyable listening 💛

Thanks so much, Noel. I really like that "prolific catalogue of compositions."

Very cool BIAB band and Dave REALLY fitted in sonically & stylistically while dropping a fab solo with a matching high note.
The bass is round, rollin' and right on the spot.
Loved it...yet again.
Thanks, Ray. Ha! Joe reached his notes with ease --I had to wait for the right day. hehe

Could not say it better.

Dave's acoustic work is superb.

Excellent BAND
A clever idea for a write. And well penned.
"She was the one who rented that car. " - HA!

A great sound.

A favorite, right outta the shoot...

Thanks, floyd! Really glad you liked it. Yeah, that perp was so dumb he thought if he got her to rent the car, it would prove he was innocent, but the video was pretty conclusive.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Another law song by an outlaw musician who doesn't follow any rules when it comes to creativity wink Funny lyrics, "It's not my fault that opposites attract" very nice defense speech smile I believe you didn't do it, because Frankie has already confessed: "I did it, my way" laugh
Enjoyed the chord progression, sounds very refreshing.
Very cool band, excellent selection of BIAB instruments and Dave & Marty section supports them seamlessly, pleasure to hear Dave doing picking for a change. Excellent vivid vocals, love that high note!

LOVED IT!!!!! Watched the video, this time, instead of the Soundcloud version ... ha smile . Absolutely brilliant, had me in stitches with laughter smile Well done! The "opposites attract" line was hilarious as heck, and the slide down from the high note (on "sounds", to "cuz") was masterful smile You have a wonderful sense of humour, of course, but behind that is a fabulous musician, who knows how to bring out that humour best, so that we don't even think of - nor indeed notice - the work that went into it ... the "backstage kitchen", as I like to call it. One word for Dave Bell, too ... superb, as always. Bravi smile

For me there’s no better place in the band than to have one leg in the harmony world and the other in the percussive. Thank you Paul Tutmarc and Leo Fender.

Thank, Janice & Bud. I was hoping you'd like that laid-back, swampy feel. Glad you caugtht those, Janice. I've never been a singer, but it seems each song takes on a new character, and this one was scared they were all gonna see through his lies.

Thanks, Hans! You? Complain? Ha. Happy to have dodged that bullet. Seriously, Hans, thanks for all of your comments here and elsewhere.

Thanks, Janne. Creativity is like Hapkido --no rules. Ha! Yeah, that defense might work if he was on trial for making magnets or something. Love your line about the guilt of O'l Blue Eyes. I'd hire you for my defense team for sure.

Thanks so much, James! Glad you heard it that way --the cuz. I like that "backstage kitchen" designation. If this is "work," I love my job.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
