Liebe Mit-Biablas!  Die Windows-Nase schon lange übervoll, erwäge ich seit kurzem einen Umstieg auf Mac (und wenn, dann soll's ein Airbook M1 werden). Mir ist klar, dass im Gegensatz zu sämtlichen anderen mir bekannten Musikproduktionsprogrammen eine B.i.a.b.-Mac-Version extra erworben werden muss, was ich zum  finde (Studio One Professional: Mac-Version einfach runterladen; sämtliche gekauften Plugins: Mac-Version inklusive)... Nun ist es so, dass ich vor einiger Zeit irgendwo im Forum aufgeschnappt habe, man bräuchte als Umsteiger nur das reine Programm und könne damit dann seine kürzlich bis hin vor langer Zeit gekauften Styles anstandslos nutzen - was ja auch plausibel und nachvollziehbar wäre, wie ich meine. Auf meine entsprechende Nachfrage bei M3C bekam ich jedoch eine ausweichende resp. etwas unklare Antwort im Sinne von "kann nicht bestätigt/nicht garantiert werden"... :-/ Das Dumme ist, dass ich mir den entsprechenden Forumsbeitrag nicht gespeichert hatte und nun nicht wiederfinde (die Suchfunktion lässt allerdings auch - wie in so ziemlich allen Foren - sehr zu wünschen übrig)...  Daher die Frage an die Gemeinde: Weiß jemand a) etwas Erhellendes zum Thema beizutragen oder/und kennt b) besagten Forenbeitrag? Sollte es tatsächlich so sein, dass man im neuen System seine Style-Bibliothek komplett neu aufbauen muss, reiche ich die Scheidung ein; dann war's das für mich und PG - es ist schon schwer vermittelbar, dass man überhaupt mindestens einen "kleinen" Extrakauf machen muss (in Anführungszeichen, weil 75 bzw. derzeit 65 Euro aktuell nicht klein sind); sollte meine erst im Dezember (!) gekaufte 2022er Ultra-Dingens-Festplatte durch einen Systemumstieg obsolet werden, bin ich raus. Vielen Dank für Eure Antworten im Voraus!P.S.: Ich musste den Beitrag mehrfach editieren, weil Fremd-Emoticons anstandslos in der Vorschau, jedoch nicht nur nicht im gesposteten Beitrag, sondern diesen auch jeweils komplett an da abschneiden!

Hallo Thorsten,
ein einfaches levelgleiches Crossgrade zwisvhen den Betriebssystemen ist von jeher (seit Einführung der Macversion) bei pgmusic nicht kostenfrei. Vielleicht ist es eine gute Idee, mal direkt beim sales@pgmusic.com deine spezielle Problematik zu schildern, vielleicht ist es ja tatsächlich möglich, deine alten Windows-Styles zu nutzen. Immerhin kannst du es auch erstmal probieren, du hast ja 30 Tage Rücktrittsrecht.

Joah, danke, Brille. Alles etwas unbefriedigend... Und wenn ich's recht überlege, bin ich nicht nunmehr einmal (mehr) bereit, auch "bloß" 65 Euro für das reine Programm auf den Tisch zu blättern, nachdem ich vor gerade mal einem halben Jahr nicht eben wenig Geld für ein Upgrade in die Hand genommen hatte. Bei der Irrsinnsinflation können viele, ud ich gehöre dazu, nicht "einfach so" 65 Euro ausgeben, und ich brauch ohnehin jeden Euro für das - ohnehin bereits nur gebraucht zu finanzierende - Macbook. Und ich mag auch nicht mehr... Ich mein: Das geht einfach nicht. Wenn man bei PG Music schon der Ansicht ist, NICHT automatisch 'ne Mac-Version mitanzubieten, sollte es WENIGSTENS großzügige Regelungen geben für Leute, die erst vor kurzem eingekauft/'n Upgrade gemacht haben. Alles andere ist Geldschneiderei.
Ich werd mich dann vielleicht ganz neu orientieren, sobald ich in der Mac-Welt unterwegs bis - und einstweilen muss/werd ich halt den ollen, alten Laptop zum "Biabieren" benutzen.

Und wenn man einfach nur für BiaB unter Mac eine VM für Win macht könntest dein BiaB Win ja eh nutzen
wäre vielleicht eine Ansatz oder

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
