the PG aux sends its return to the main output bus. aux send and reurns are great for using one plugin on several tracks.
on a hardware mixer ( i think from memory of days gone by) you can reroute the aux return to the subgroup so the effected signal is changed with the subgroup slider in line with the original signal.
that doesn't happen with the RB mixer. i sent two tracks to a subgroup. the subgroup fader does not affect the track faders - they don't move - that doesn't matter i just wanted to see if they did. i then soloed one of the tracks and took the subgroup fader down to mute the soloed track and i still got an audio output of the reverb fx sent on the aux return to the main output bus.

so looks like you can't use aux send and returns with subgroups - the fx return does not respond to subgroup volume slider changes so the balance of wet and dry signals changes as the wet signal is not affected by the subgroup changes. the wet signal goes directly to the main output bus at its original level.

Sounds like you prefer to have AUX go to subgroup and then the Main Out.
I use RB/PT a bit different; if I want an effect on a subgroup mix, I put that effect there in the FX area of the subgroup. Then the output of both are controlled by the subgroup slider (easy enough to to save a Preset or Group and use it on the subgroup)
I expect the AUX to be routed directly to the Main Out as a different/separate route.
Depends on your workflow I guess but I see the advantages to both. <grin>

Mainly because I can then send a track(s) to a given Subgroup as you desire and add FX to those tracks via Subgroup FX .. but I can also add them to a 'room' effect AUX with different settings and still control the amount of said track(s) via the AUX send dials, so I get the best of both worlds, but need to pay attention to how I use them.

The flexibility adds complexity. I get that 100%, but once you 'get it', I'm not sure I'd change it.
Especially when you get so many AUX slots to work with; it's a matter of watching the Mixer AUX send dials. Sometimes using just the FX in the Subgroup solves the problem (and remove the AUX send) but sometimes the added option/flexibility makes sense.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
