The Tales of Topographical Poets continues.
This sounds fabulous & the flutes really take it to Mellotron sounds of 72.
Sounds great - though there's a little more sibilant/plosive stuff on this one.
I look forward to the next road trip.

Cheers

Great song, lyrics and arrangement, Robert, and thanks for sharing!

I think the world-weary quality of your vocals captures the feeling of the song nicely.

I also liked the BIAB electroflutes instrument you used in the background.

Bob,

I love how you tell a story as your lines build...

"Just give me a weekend every now and then
Let me trade the pigeons for the wrens
Play me some Levon so that I can breath
And meet me on the mountain of my dreams"

Ya took my breath away there...

David said it well...

Love the BAND!

My list of Bob Dean Favorites continues to grow.
This goes straight to the Top.
Wow.

Well, you’ve given us another gem from your past. Your songs are always so singable.
Janice reads your lyrics like a book of poems smile and we both thoroughly enjoy the vivid imagery that takes us to these other places and times.

This is lovely:

“Well I’ve seen the sun rise on the Hudson Bridge
And i've seen it set on Overlook Ridge
But I always keep my horizon set on you”

Great band, vocals and mix. The bass and drums and electro flute sound excellent.

Enjoyed it!
