If BBW4 writes the files wav instructions data files to the SavedTracks folder then we have to wait for the programming to be done it BBW4 as all the fixes pertain to that.
The way I see it BBW4 creates those files along with .mid in the SavedTracks folder then the PLUGIN deletes the .di files after reading them in, these can be left there and be created with a new extension from .di to .RTrackTemplate to enable them to be dropped into Reaper directly or the PLUGIN track for other DAWs.

Is this waiting for the mac version to be finished first before these fixes can be implemented ?? If things were all in one crossplatform these would be fixed by now and released on both versions at the same time, ... and maybe even a Linux version: Band in a Box for linux

I think forget about these "fixes" you should not have to wait 6 months, we can do without as many of us have given up on it for so long because of the issues, just focus on fixing the main issue once and for all so you don't have this dragging out year after year as it has been. Just bite the bullet and delete BBW4, do it the right way with a self-contained code allowing for things to be fixed or feature easily added, on "any platform" without all this continuous waiting n waiting. This will filter out all the old hard coded issues and limitations in Biab that have prevented it being compatible with all other DAW's and notation apps. Mission_Impossible.mid Please God, give PG (Jim Phelps (Peter Graves)) the inspiration and enthusiasm to accomplish this mission, and finally get things right once and for all, amen !

Apart from rendering in the plugin, integrating the MultiPicker, and adding these few lines to the .di files, is there something else in particular that is broken or that you are waiting for? I understand that you want the plugin to process wav instructions so that it can audition tracks immediately (rendering to .wav would still take as long as bbw4). I'm working on this for the future but it is a big project that will take some time. However, would it be fair to say that apart from this one significant improvement, and the few lines to add to .di files (which I'm doing now), that this plugin is working exactly as it should? If not please let me know exactly what other issues you are having with the latest version of the plugin. Thank you for the feedback!

All the above post should cover it all, it's been so long that I need to freshen up on it all again, In the meantime, other users might have some input on what they think had to be done. " (rendering to .wav would still take as long as bbw4)"With the Plugin playing back the source file section direct in the Plugin there would not really be any need for any rendering to wav as this will be done by the DAW to create a final mixdown. Though if you dragged a track from the Plugin it would render to a wav file. Just keep us all in the feed of what's happening with regular updates so input can be given to get things right, more of an open beta. Users are trying something here to make it better, I think the way the Plugin is going will be the future more so allowing iOS,Android,Win,Lin,Mac See: BiaB White Paper (May 2024)

You want the BBW4 to open frozen SGU's so you get the same tracks in the VST as the main app: The BB standalone version (bbw64.exe) offers almost everything I need, but whenever using the VST3 plugin, the pain starts. Functionality is limited and the audio tracks generated for the same .sgu are different to the standalone. Either the plugin should provide the same functionality as the standalone or there should be a possibility to sync the standalone with the transport, positioning and the tempo of the DAW. Either way would be fine for me, but I couldn't figure out yet, how to achieve that. At the end I have to bring the generated BB tracks and my own recordings together in one song in my DAW.
I would not mind having some small limitations, like a constant tempo and time measure for a song,but I need room for permanent monitoring of the results and repeated refinement of the tracks and the arrangement as a whole.
Something like the tracks window of bbw.exe for the plugin could also be a step in the right direction. Definitely better than moving the rendered tracks to the DAW and cutting and replacing them from there.
Some kind of ARA integration might also be a solution.
