Hi all, In the meantime I compose again I just share here. I have decided for the 1st time to solo over a 12 bar blues progression. Couldn't make up my mind between those 2 tones so I put them both. This backing track is from the same composer I soloed over on "Disco Pop" (my previous post). Here is the blues (funk) : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j9PUYnIbfYgHappy holidays everyone!

Difficult to pick the winner. Both good. If anything, I lean slightly to the first one.

For the moment most people tend to prefer the 2nd because it gives more clarity & fluidity to the solo. But like you I really enjoy the 1st one, more "raw" I guess and maybe a bit more in tune with the spirit of the 12 bar blues ? Thanks again and happy hollidays!

I'm going to have to go with the second one. Stands out in the mix a bit better, a little more "bite". Might be wrong, but the second also seems to be recorded with a bit more volume...maybe that's why it stands out better?

Jeff Hello! Thank you for your feedback. I think you're right about the volume. Don't know if this is what makes the difference, but that's possible. It was hard for me to pick a tone over the other and up to this day I like them both in a different way. Thanks again!
