OP paul46038 Newbie P Joined: May 2018 Posts: 9 Indiana, USA	I don't want BIAB to write an ending for my original songs nor do I want to re-write an ending to fit what BIAB does. I just want to enter the song up to the last shot or held chord and have nothing further generate. Can I do this? I'm a very new user but I think my intention is to always export selected tracks to my DAW - so I could easily work around this (program my ending, put in some amount of rests, let BIAB do whatever it wants, delete the unneeded stuff in the DAW) but if I don't need to do that, I figure now is the time to ask. Thanks! BIAB 2018 Pro for Windows My primary interest is guitar Real Tracks to export to DAW for home recording - as a quicker and possibly better/different alternative to recording guitar myself.

Enter into Song Settings (right-click on the chordsheet and select from the menu). 2. Deactivate the option "Generate two bar ending for this song". 3. Exit Song Settings and regenerate the song. Thanks! Yep.... you can do the normal "turn off the canned ending" which I use quite often as it does tend to work well. OR..... You can simply add ...oh let's say.... 12 measures to the song.... create you own ending the way you want and then trim the canned ending later in an audio editor. Of course you can combine the 2 methods by adding the measures, shutting off the canned ending and making the song do what you want. I used this method on the last song I did.. The Road To Cheyenne. In that I edited the ending measures for a nice slow down to the last held chord. You can hear the results in the showcase forum. There's quite a few times where I have opted to create my own ending rather than use the BB endings. You can find my music at: www.herbhartley.com Add nothing that adds nothing to the music. You can make excuses or you can make progress but not both. The magic you are looking for is in the work you are avoiding.

Is there no way to delete it permanently? If not, there should be. signed, A guy who has used BIAB in a dozen iterations since 1991

Noel96 Veteran Joined: Oct 2008 Posts: 18,991 Australia	Hi Craig. There's a global option under "Options >> Prefences >> Arrange" that's called "Allow any endings". This is activated by default. Try disabling it and see if this is what you are looking for. If you have a song open when you deactivate it, you will need to regenerate the song. Also, if any tracks are frozen, you will need to unfreeze them and regenerate as the 'frozen' information is retained until it is over-written. The Bob Doyle Media YouTube channel is known for demonstrating how you can creatively incorporate AI into your projects - from your song projects to avatar building to face swapping, and more!

His latest video, Convert MIDI Chords into AI Vocal Harmonies with ACE Studio and Band-in-a-Box, he explains in detail how you can use the Melodist feature in Band-in-a-Box with ACE Studio. Follow along as he goes from "nothing" to "something" with his Band-in-a-Box MIDI Melodist track, using ACE Studio to turn it into a vocal track (or tracks, you'll see) by adding lyrics for those notes that will trigger some amazing AI vocals!
