I can't seem to find a way for the track with the melody to be the default when I want to view notation. Any thoughts ? Noel96 Veteran Joined: Oct 2008 Posts: 18,981 Australia	Hi PJ, As far as I'm aware, there isn't a setting that allows a user to set a default track for Lead Sheet notation view. What I have got into the habit of doing is to click on the Melody track in the mixer before I select Editable Notation or Lead Sheet. Click on another track to select/highlight it, in this case your melody track, and the notation window will open on the that track. Andrew - PG Music PG Music Staff Joined: May 2002 Posts: 6,983 Victoria, BC	The default track when you open the Band-in-a-Box 2024 program is 'track 1', which is usually the Bass track. This is in contrast to 2023, in which the default track was the Melody track. This is the only difference. It doesn't matter which window you are looking at in the program, whether it's the Notation window, Chords window, etc. the track selection is 'global'. We will likely revert this so that the default track is once again the melody track, and we could also make this a setting. Andrew PG Music Inc.

The Bob Doyle Media YouTube channel is known for demonstrating how you can creatively incorporate AI into your projects - from your song projects to avatar building to face swapping, and more!

His latest video, Convert MIDI Chords into AI Vocal Harmonies with ACE Studio and Band-in-a-Box, he explains in detail how you can use the Melodist feature in Band-in-a-Box with ACE Studio. Follow along as he goes from "nothing" to "something" with his Band-in-a-Box MIDI Melodist track, using ACE Studio to turn it into a vocal track (or tracks, you'll see) by adding lyrics for those notes that will trigger some amazing AI vocals!
