RealTracks Artist Bio: Colin Linden

Born in Toronto, Canadian guitarist, songwriter, and producer Colin Linden started down a musical path at a young age. By 11, Colin was being mentored by infamous blues legend - Howlin' Wolf - and was performing on national stages just a few years later. In his early travels through the United States, Colin started playing with David Wilcox and lay down his first ever record with Sam Chatmon!

In 1987 Colin signed a recording deal with A&M Records Canada and a publishing deal with Warner/Chappell. When A&M released Colin's "When The Spirit Comes" album, it soared into the Top 20 on CAR charts!

From then on, Colin Linden was unstoppable. He worked with artists like Morgan Davis, Rita Coolidge, Bruce Cockburn, Emmylou Harris, Robert Plant, Spirit of the West and many many more!

Between releasing 12 solo albums, winning 8 Juno Awards, producing various film and television soundtracks, and touring with Blackie & The Rodeo Kings - it's a wonder he also managed to play with so many artists on over 100 albums!
