RealTracks Artist Bio: Oscar Stagnaro

Oscar Stagnaro literally "wrote the book" on Latin Bass. Originally from Peru, Oscar studied at the Conservatory of Music in Lima, while making a name for himself as one of the most in-demand bass players in the country. He moved to the United States in 1979, and became a professor at the Berklee College of Music in Boston in 1988. He co-authored "The Latin Bass Book" in 2011, and continues to be an in-demand session player, live player, and educator.
