Very educational pghboemike! I once worked at a school where the music teacher assembled drum circles. He would use that format to assign various rhythms to individual students, who would then experience what it is like to hold a rhythm and, as a bonus, to know what they were doing. His classes were great!

I enjoyed the part about triplets. PG Music has stated for YEARS that using triplets is how Band-in-a-Box switches from straight to swing feel. This video helped me to understand why.
