How a musician accused of fraud got his music back on Spotify and iTunes
I saw a discussion about this sort of thing on the DistroKid site the other day.

It occurred to me that a bad actor could easily take down a musician's revenue stream by hiring out a bunch of bots.

Since there's no way of knowing who hired the bots, the streaming services simply assume that it was the musician and automatically de-list their music.

There's really nothing a musician can do to defend against something like that. frown
There are things the streaming service can do though .. but that costs money .. easier to say 'sorry everybody' ..
