Hi there.
Just bought the 2022 upgrade as a download but my previous version was 2019 608 on an external HDD,do I install the update directly onto the HDD over the previous version? And then just run the program directly from the HDD as before?
I’m a bit mixed up as to the correct procedure!
Thanks for any advice!
Ricc!

Your question indicates you previously ran Band-in-s-Box from an external hard drive. I assume you want to continue using the hard drive.

You don't have to do it this way but the way I would upgrade is to update the files on the hard drive.

To better manage what you're doing I would:
1) Create a 2022 folder on the root drive of the external hard drive.
2) Download your new files and move them to the external hard drive 2022 folder.
3) Install the new files by installing them from the 2022 folder.

My hope is following this method will help keep the external hard drive letter consistent during the installation. The installers like to default to "C" drive so be careful.

Hi again.
I’ve done the full install on my external HDD and I created a BB root folder and installed 2022 in there and it runs fine, also it has all the existing Realtracks on there too so that’s worked out nicely.
Thanks again for the advice.
